Dr. Jeff Holmes graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He continues to be a solo practitioner and works with small animals and equine. He especially enjoys the orthopedic surgeries.

When he can find time, Dr. Jeff enjoys breeding and selling show cattle in the fall. He also assists his daughter with her small flock of club lambs. Dr. Jeff likes spending time with his children Cody, Danielle and Tanner, watching sports, cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones and now and then he may even find time to ride his Harley.
     
 
Deanna Holmes
Practice Manager

Deanna has worked part-time the last eight years. She does the purchase orders for the clinic along with payroll and assists with the animals when needed. She also operates the Paws Motail Boarding Facility. She keeps busy with dogs when not working at the clinic. She has two dogs of her own, Ella and Ava. Deanna enjoys spending time with her three children, her grandson Koen and working with the show livestock.
  Tammy Schneider

Tammy started working at Holmes Animal Clinic in April 1994. She is a great asset with her years of experience. She assists Dr. Jeff with orthopedic surgeries and exams. She completed the IVMA program in 2010 to gain her Veterinary Assistant degree. Tammy has a dog, Mac and in her free time she enjoys her three boys, grandchildren and family.
     
 
Bethany Herrick
Certified Veterinary Assistant
Office Manager

Bethany started in February 2012. She manages the front office and assists with the animals. She lives on the outside of Algona on an acreage with her husband TJ and three children. They have two cats and goats. In her spare time Bethany enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
 

Alissa Mayer
Certified Vet Assistant

Alissa is a 2010 graduate from Hawkeye Community College with a Animal Science and Veterinary Assistant Degree. Ali previously worked here for 2 years in 2011-2012 and recently started back in Feb 2015. She has a dog, Audrey and 2 cats Sully and Olive. In her sparetime Ali enjoys spending time with family, friends, cooking, knitting, and reading.

     
   

Carly Main
Veterinary Technician

Carly attended Iowa Lakes Community College, and graduated in 2016 with her Veterinary Technician Degree. Carly has two dogs, Ote & Emma, and a teacup pot belly pig, Lola. In her free time she enjoys showing sheep at local and state fairs. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
